TERMS AND CONDITIONS //

 

1/ The competition is open only to artists living or working at Girona. This section is open to all genres and techniques in audiovisual media: video art, digital and interactive installations,… The only format excluded from the call for entries is conventional narrative fiction. There is no limit to the number of works that can be presented by each artist, but each work must be submitted on a separate DVD and accompanied by a separate entry form. We will not accept compilations of various works on a single DVD. We will not accept formats that can’t be read in a conventional DVD-Video (avi, quick time, mpeg, …). Works must have been made no earlier than January 2008.

2/ All entries will undergo a pre-selection process.

3/ Deadline for entries is 20th July 2010.

4/ Work presented in a language other than Catalan, Spanish, French and English will need to be subtitled in Spanish, Catalan or English.

5/ All works must be accompanied by a paper copy of the completed and signed registration form, which the author will receive by email with the confirmation of the registration. All works must also be registered on line. The submitted works, with the registration form, must to be sended by postal mail to:

6/ Festival organizers will contact the authors, producers or distributors of the selected works by the 1st of September in order to obtain the maximum results on the set up for all works. The organization can ask for a master copy to ensure the best quality for the video projections.

7/ Copies of selected works will be deposited in the festival’s archives and will be used solely for consultation purposes.

8/ Non-selected works will not be returned.

9/ Two nights of accommodation for one individual per selected works will be provided free of charge during the first weekend of the festival. In the case of collectives and coauthors the festival will provide accommodation for two people maximum.

10/ Members of the jury may not compete as authors or producers. The decisions of the jury are final and no appeals will be admitted.

11/ Participation in this festival implies full acceptance of these terms and conditions. The breach of any of these terms and conditions will result in the work being disqualified.

 

PRIZES

1/ An international jury made up of renowned professionals will award the Fundació Fita Award, of €2000
