CALLS FOR ENTRIES VAD 2010

 

The main novelty of the competition this year is the exclusion of the international call for entries for single channel video works and installations. However, two of the awards started in the last edition are manteined: Metropolis Award and the Fundació Fita Award.

Metrópolis Award: An initiative through which RTVE purchases the broadcasting rights of the winning works at 100 € per minute and with a maximum of 25 minutes. The winning works will form a special program to be broadcasted at Metrópolis during the festival. The call for entries is addressed to authors who live or work in Spain.

Fundació Fita Award: Call for entries addressed to single channel works and audiovisual installations already produced in the province of Girona. The winning work will receive € 2,000 and will be part of the exhibition at the Casa de Cultura.

Deadline for reception of works:  July 20.

 

In addition to these awards, for the second consecutive year, we continue with the support production for catalan artists of a specific project between MAPA and VAD festival:

Co-Production MAPA/ VAD festival: Call for entries addressed to artists living or working at Catalonia for the co-production of a site-specific work that will enjoy a residence working at Pontós and the technological support of LABFàbrica Celrà. The direction of the three entities will choose the projects from the proposals submitted following the public announcement. The project selected will receive a sum of money of 4000 € for its development.
