HUMAN RELATIONSHIPS:

As inside as the eyes can see - Casilda Sánchez “As inside as the Eye can See” shows two eyes that try to see each other from as close as possible. It takes an absurd situation to the extreme, and shows that our eagerness to “see” something through the gaze of another person and penetrate their private inner being is does not lead anywhere. Because doing away with distance is what prevents us from seeing. |

Despair - Provmyza Insignificant within the immensity of a snowy landscape, a handful of men test their physical resistance against the force of nature. United, close together, they tackle the hostility surrounding them by way of a strangely choreographed, hesitant ballet. A visual poem of furious beauty, Despair depicts the mechanisms of a world governed by crows. |

Four Place Setting - Hillerbrand + Magsamen Through performance, “Four Place Setting” interstices between art and the contemporary American family by playfully and poetically exploring perceptions of emotions, family, xonsumerism and media within a uniquely American subjectivity. |

Holobomo - Owen Enric Wood Overwhelmedby visual stimuli in our image-based culture, the artist reappropriates footage from old movies in an attempt to insert himself into the picture. By doing this, does he find meaning in what he sees? Or does he lose himself in the process, becoming – like film – an imitation of life? |

Instant - Joachim Smetschka Based on eight photographic portraits of different faces, this experiment in visual perception consists of 35,992 synthetically generated intermediate images, which are the raw material of this “timebased portrait.” The portrait gradually changes in the course of 24 minutes, denying the viewer the familiar possibilities of identifying and memorizing individual human features. |

Ne vous laissez pas consoler - Democracia “Ne vous laissez pas consoler” (Do not allow yourselves to be consoled) is a project produced by Democracia in collaboration with the Ultramarines, the hooligan supporters of the Girondins de Bordeaux football team. The project consisted of introducing political slogans in a situation that was out of context, a sporting event (in this case the match between the Girondins de Bordeaux and Stade Rennais, on September 27, 2009), which questioned the verylogic of the whole show. The texts were displayed by the fans during the match on the club merchandising products and around the stadium. |
